Most phones are programmed to accept 112 and 911 as emergency numbers, and these numbers will in many countries connect to the local police, fire, and medical services.

112 is used throughout the European Union, alongside existing numbers such as 999 in the UK. 911 is standard in the United States and Canada. Eventually the aim is to add listings for each country, but we want to get it right. Suggestions welcome.
